Make sure you know how to deal remove and dispose of ticks before your pet gets one. The easiest way is to buy a tick removal product and take it to your local groomers or vets and ask them to show you how to use it.
If you do know already, then still make sure you wear gloves while removing and disposing of them.
If you are squimish and don't feel up to rmoving the tick yourself then take your pet to the vets asap to have the tick removed. Do NOT wait for the tick to drop off. Ticks can harbour bacteria harmful to pets and humans so get them removed as soon as you see them.

Focus Dog Walking and Pet Sitting Services has created a page called Bradford Pet Friends Community. It's a page created to promote the health and welfare of peoples pets (dog's, cats, hamsters etc). I think my idea behind it is that people will share ideas, recipes, training tips, news about local health concerns. It will also be an opportunity for local people in the pet care industry to post information for the benefit of local people i.e special offers/promotions/discount codes/vouchers. I am hoping to get local vets involved so they can include information such as outbreaks of parvo or information on the latest vaccines etc. The page will only be as successful as we make it....
If you have a pet treat recipe, want some training advice, can offer a discount or promotional activity please post on Bradford Pet Friends Community in Facebook. All posts which are related to health and welfare of our pets are welcome. x
